never will they be a memory
through life as it is in its essence
with intoxicating smiles and eyes sometimes teary
they are the backbone of my existence
the signal lights are flashing
[ 8:50 AM ]
(the past)
dreams of eternity
shattered in stagnant moments
was it not sincerity
memories mere torments
wounds that shred the resurrected spirit
it is now a 'once upon a time'
extinguishing a flame once lit
emptiness a wonderous chime
rejection an impossibility
for it is a situation that has already occurred
i say 'goodbye' repeatedly
no longer a present, just a memory forever remembered
(a time i call now)
i escape this haunting nightmare
in the arms of a person i call rationality
her being, i would just stare
the dwindling emotions of sublimity
have i fallen victim to this new web of passion? i do not dare
